Bette Mullen
1928 -- 2010
Wife, mother, grandmother, friend, mentor and inspiration.
I have no doubt that, upon meeting St. Peter at the gate, they cracked a bottle of wine, discussed all the challenges in the world, and came up with a plan to solve them. She lived life her way to the very end, and left the world and the lives of those she knew, a better place.
"It is not length of life, but depth of life."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
My thoughts are with you. It sounds like she was a hell of a cool lady. Judging by the look in her eye, she's not going to take any of St. Pete's bs, either!

ReplyDeleteI knew Bette well - I grew up 3 doors down from she and Clint - she was my Mother's closest friend for many years. I am so sorry she is gone - what a lady. Our last visit included wine, saving the problems of the world - and talk of her family. What a blessing you all were to her.
